Park brake shoe lever

Hi Guys,

i just had a 59 F-100 imported from the US to Aus. Before it went through customs, the brakes had to be disassembled and cleaned and pads had to be thrown out. Apparently the brake hardware was left in a box in the cab, but must have been thrown out by customs. Anyway now I’m tryjng to track down a pair of park brake shoe levers.

does anyone know a seller where I can purchase these from?

I should mention-
It is a Dana 44 diff

I think I know the answer here, but I want to make sure....
They disassembled the brakes because they might have asbestos, or what? If so, what about all the old vehicles in your country that might have old brake pads. Do they go search them out and disassemble them also?

No sheep, Sherlock. I was talking in a general sense.
There were plenty of brake shoes and disc PADS that both had asbestos in them.

Agreed. I just mentioned it because I see shoes called pads on here fairly often. If you go to a parts store and ask for pads when you meant shoes, you might go home with the wrong parts.

Yea, sorry I jumped on the post. Most (er...I mean a lot) of part store counter people don't know the difference and rely only on the computer in front of them.
I just got out of knee surgery this week and sometimes the pain might make me a little snappy.
