The rear track, on all 66 Fairlanes, was 58 inches.

The 66 and 67 Fairlanes, upon which the 66 and 67 Rancheros were built, were essentially the same.

yeah I realize they are basically a Fairlane and like the '67 Ranchero. But because of the 1 year only front sheetmetal, was not sure if there were any other odd things . . parts used from as '65 for example. And When the '66 is never listed in any of the charts . . just made me wonder.

The 66 was given the 66 Falcon front clip, as a carry over, I guess. Everything else was Fairlane.

It wasn't Falcon carry over. All the Falcon sheet metal was totally new for 66. It lasted until 69.

My point was, it was Falcon carry over in the sense there was still an attachment to the Falcon lineup, even though they were obviously moving to the Fairlane suspension and drive line.
The 65 Ranchero was the last of the "Falcon Rancheros". For 66 the Falcon was built on a shortened Fairlane frame. The Ranchero was built on the full length Fairlane station wagon frame. But, the front ends were interchangeable.

No need to change the rear as the '66 Ranchero has an 8" rear, even with the 6 banger. The 3.25 should work fine with the setup I'm putting in it.
