2017 Performance Mods

ive been looking to do a delete, exhaust, intake and tune to my truck recently so I've been around a good bit on here and haven't really found many threads of people doing performance mods to 2017 SD 6.7s, With tuners now offering trans tunes I know there has to be a bunch of really strong running trucks out there. So, what kind of power is everyone making with what mods? what's everyone finding that the limits of the drive line are on the 17s?

From what I've seen in this forum there's really only a small group of deleters here. Most people here don't want to void their warranty. And if you do post anything performance related there's always that 1 or 2 people that have to throw out the warranty card. Maybe as the 17s get older this year there will be more performance related topics.

I'm running Ndash with patriot tuning. It comes with 5 tunes 450hp, 500hp, 550hp, 600hp, SOTF. Plust I'm running 5" exhaust, Absolute performance CAI, Absolute performance, EGR delete, waiting to get their turbo piping kit, and installing their CCV delete kit. Patriot tuning also comes with TCM tuning. I highly recommend them.

Currently I'm running PPEI 35hp with emissions tune as well as their TCM tune through Ez Lynk. Truck runs great, but as soon as my DEF tank empties out, I'll be deleting and probably only run their 75hp or 150hp tune. Personally I probably wouldn't run the 200hp without something helping with the fuel delivery.

Agree on the warranty comments...only reason I'm not doing anything else powertrain wise. I've got an S&B intake in the garage...but I've yet to install it.

I’m new to the diesel world so I’m going to ask a dumb question. If you delete your egr etc and in an city/state that requires emissions inspection, how do you get around the emissions testing?

Find a county in your state the doesn't require emissions and register your truck there. If one exists in your state...

Find a delete friendly dealership and then you don’t have to worry about voiding your warranty.

i dont think its gonna matter if you find a friendly dealer if theres a major failure. there prolly not gonna put their dealership on the line for a modded truck

I had my turbo replaced under warranty while I’m deleted.

You are definitely the exception and not the rule, as far as warranty work goes. I'm not against deleting or voiding warranties by any stretch, but I realize that I do so at my own risk.

how does the truck handle the 600hp tune? any issues or anything? bet it runs like a beast on that.
