Trying LED headlight bulbs. Comparrison w pics.

After my wreck I decided to finally upgrade my front end. I am installing the 1 piece Harley headlights. I was looking on Amazon and found some LED bulbs that got good reviews. They weren't expensive so I figured I would give them a try. What I didn't know what that the new headlights came with bulbs so I decided to leave one in and compare it to the LED. So far I am impressed. The color is similar to that of my wife's Volvo XC90.

The only thing I had to do to get them to work properly was adjust the bulb inside the lock right to get them to point in the right direction. There is a tiny allen screw. The even sent the wrench with the bulbs.

I used Beamtech bulbs off Amazon

The pics below are before adjusting the headlights, so no comments about that from the peanut gallery.

LED bulb vs stock bulb.

LED on right. 6500K color temp.

Headlights not aimed. Pattern seems to be good.

Thanks Dave. Bumper should be in next week. Fingers crossed. They said they got behind due to the Christmas sale.

Btw I just used one of those oil filters. I had to get through my other stock first. I have like 6 or 7 more.

That was an awesome deal on the filters. I've used one and am due for another change. Probably have about the same quantity as you. Probably should've purchased more of them.

What bumper are you going with?

Raptor grille don't think McNasty. Bought the grill off EBay. You have to buy the F and R from Raptorgrilles.com for $100. There are 2 brands of the raptor style grille that the letters are guaranteed to work w.

I swapped the 2nd bulb last night. I didn't get a chance to aim them because I had an intercooler boot blow off yesterday while driving so I had to get that fixed. I will post a pic when I get them aimed.

ok and by aiming I mean the bulb its self and how you have it "clocked" in relation to its base, or am I thinking of something different? I don't see how you might be able to turn the bulb if the base is part of the bulb?

Ah I already did that. I would have to remove the headlight to take a pic. I didn't have to do it to one of the bulbs. It is self explanatory when you get the bulbs.
