How often and for how long?

55 psi is a lot of boost. If the o-rings and studs were done right you might not have any trouble with the head gasket but you may have trouble in other areas, turbo for instance...

In my opinion any 6.4 that is taken that far beyond stock form has a limited life span. It is very easy to tune a 6.4L to blow the doors off most other comparable trucks, they also tend to explode more than most other comparable trucks.

Don't know if it answers your question - if you are looking for a guarantee on here you won't be getting it...

6.4 pistons are another point of failure....they like to melt under pressure

so the 55lb boost question.....if you are getting this with a tuner only with no added cooling...ingredents for trouble.

but if you are getting 55lbs of boost and it involves methonal/water injection at 640ml flow rate or better...I would be more comfortable as the methonal/water enjection provides a tremondous amount of cooling.

what your exhuast temps and get a coolant PSI gage.

If you are concerned about something that has happened in the past, that's one thing - if you are asking what you can safely push on an ongoing basis that's another.

I would personally set defuel levels to around the 40 psi mark, I wouldn't normally go over 35 psi at WOT in my truck.
