Old Dodge RVs are gonna have either 17” locking side ring tube type or 19.5” tubeless wheels. Both the 7.50-17” and 8R19.5” sizes are gonna be about 34” tall. Your widow maker 20” wheels with assuming 7.50-20s are about 37” in diameter. If you have 8.25”-20s they will be 38+” which is the equal to the 9R22.5” tires. Finding used 5 lug 22.5s will take some looking. Factory new ones are available through your local Les Schwab or online from places like Wheels Now. These new wheels don’t look much like the old ones because they have a wide face.

The other option to retain the same diameter as your current widow makers would be doing yard searches for locking side ring wheels. An older Ford, or any Dodge or IHC would have what you need. Guys like me have these available too but shipping would be a killer. Stu

These are new 9R22.5's mounted on the new style wheels. They only have two handholes, but are DOT approved for the tire load rating. The centers can be removed from the widow-makers and welded into new outer tubeless rims but are not DOT approved.

9R22.5 vs. 8.25x20

I hope to be doing that soon, and intend to bring along lunch and dinner for a fifty mile round trip.

I bought them through Les Schwab with the Toyo tires. A package deal for six tires and six powder coated wheels

These are original one piece 22.5 wheels from late 50s and 60s. Hard to find. I got lucky. If i didnt find these i would have went like mixerman. I was going to get them from American wheel specialist. Wheels now might have them. They also have them in 19" but that's a little small for our big trucks imo.

American Wheel Specialist is a wholesale supplier to Les Schwab and Commercial Tire out west. Will only sell directly to those of us who live east of the contractors’ service areas. Stu
