With a dually, I would expect you have ample payload capacity for most campers. The most common fit issue is with height - some campers require a boost to for the cabover to clear the cab. I use a sheet of plywood under the camper; others require a build-up of 2x4's or 4x4's, depending on the camper specifics.

A couple of thing you may want to consider, if you haven't already.
A camper designed for a short bed truck will not fit, although there are some that will fit both a short or long bed.
The front camper jacks may require a swing-out bracket to clear the rear fenders. These can be easily installed after the fact.

The reason I am asking is that I have a Pace-Edwards tonneau cover with tha cannister in my dually. I have been thinking that for my boondocking excursions, an overhead slide in type for a short bed truck would work with out removing the cannister. Just would not be sliding the unit all the way to the front of the bed. That way I don’t need to pull the 41’ Raptor when offroading.

on our 2000 with a 1999 8ft camper we had to raise the camper with 2x4s and plywood about 3 inches to clear the cab and we had to space the camper a couple inches back from the cab so the trucks tail lights wouldn't get hit.
We also had to add the swing out extensions on the front jacks to clear the duallys.
