2016 6.7 Regen

I've noticed the cleaning exhaust filter message has popped up twice in the last 250 miles. Does this sound about right?

If you are towing then yes about one regen per tank of fuel. If not towing than that is excessive.

Personally, I wouldnt worry about it. ReGens's have really been a non-issue. Could be any number of reasons for twice in 250 miles, like the first one was interrupted and didnt fully complete, could have been more city stop/go driving, etc. Really nothing to worry about.

If the first regen didn't complete then the next one will be much sooner. FWIW, I have had regens last anywhere from 12 to 30 miles once I saw the message. At the very least, get the %DPF Full gauge added to your dash by the dealer or by yourself using FORScan.

My 16 Does the same thing. It's our everyday driver and sometimes makes short trips. My new truck take longer to regen compared to my 11
