F150 - Squeaky brakes or something else?
Hello - I have a 2013 F150 with approx. 138K miles. Original front brakes. I am not clear exactly how much thickness is left on the pads but I've had them measured twice within the past 60 days and both times it was sufficient (I just don't have the exact measurement).
I've linked 2 videos and I'm wondering if anyone confirm what they believe to be the root cause of the squeak you will here on both of them. I THINK it is brake or belt related but I'm not sure. It has been impossible to replicate when at the mechanic. The sound occurs randomly - sometimes as soon as I back out of the driveway and sometimes when I am going 50+ MPH. The sound produces itself when I am driving, not due to me pressing the brake pedal. It will last for a few seconds or a few minutes. If I put the truck in N while driving the sound doesn't go away. It is clearly coming from the front end of the truck.
I would certainly appreciate any help as far as your thoughts on isolating the root cause.
