This is a stupid question but its something that I'm capable of doing. Did you leave a rag in the oil port hole?

Actually I had had tape over both supply and drain holes but I checked the drain I removed them but today we finished fuel bowl rebuild and riffraff frx and installed new idler Lilly bearings in the pullys while we had bracket off and we checked turbo is definitely freer now and we have downpipe on now we started it up all seems fine now still plan on keeping a very close eye on it it never completely locked up just got stiff it also doesn’t have any excess play in it either so for now where gonna roll with it but if it shows any further issues we will definitely be pulling it and rebuilding or sending off or whatever it takes at this point

Well truck is done he drove it tonight and let it run for good while no leaks so far definitely lot more responsive just hard to really tell as it’s been raining here all day ended up being able to use the factory hot side intercooler pipe with a 3in 45 to 2.5 boot with no issues I’ll get some pics tomorrow for u guys but probably still won’t be driving it for few days as he’s got complete interior out of it right now cleaning and semi sound proofing it and replacing headliner

Looks pretty clean! I'll be curious to see if that 90* boot on the hot side I/C pipe holds up. I've seen a few of those blow out due to the heat and pressure.

It’s a 45 degree boot I didn’t want to try a 90 for that very reason but seems to work well for now

Well just wanted to update you guys on the truck its still running great cleared up lots of smoke. He’s only able to run it on his modified stock tune or it will blow the intake boots off pretty easily. He’s still running the 2in plenums but he’s in process of saving for riffraff oringed plenums. But overall he’s really happy with the setup he’s planning on building a little better downpipe in the future. One we built isn’t perfect but gets the job done. Also he already picked up a l99 up spider to modify for the plenums.

So im guessing he's blowing the y pipe off the plenums? The stock plenums are aweful when it comes to keeping boots on them. Riff Raff plenums will help a ton.

Yes sir they definitely do not hold well at all he’s getting ready to completely rebuild ac system. Once he’s recuperates from that he’s going to order the riffraff plenums. But as far as the way it runs he’s extremely happy with it

It's pretty funny imo to think of a 369 pushing thru 2" plenum inlets. He I believe will see a difference with more air yet.

Yeah the original plan was to run 3in plenums until his work hours where cut back. But hopefully soon he will get plenums ordered and we will see how it does then.

I'm gonna be the devil's advocate and say that the change in plenums will help with the issue of blowing the boots off, but it won't make a lick of difference in the overall performance. Think about it, all the IC piping is 3 inch... The area of dual 2" plenums is roughly equal to the area of a 3" pipe.

But then again, I guess it'll be tough to gauge since he really can't uncork it now without blowing the boots off the y pipe.

Either way, those Riffraff plenums are sweet!
