1973 tailgate mounting help.
I picked up a tailgate from a junkyard as mine was missing. I took all the hinges and stays/pivot points HOWEVER I come back to fit it to mine and there's no nuts behind the l/h pillar to mount the lower pivot point on.
Being a rainy day and suffering from flu I'm hoping I can find someone who will be able to let me know if these are mounted on a bracket/keep plate or welded on (captivated nuts) as I'm not going out to start stripping the thing down today but can order parts online ready for when I feel better.
p.s. checked all the threads I can see that look relevant and checked online at LMC etc but can't seem to identify the fitting method.

There is a floating bracket that is ? 1/2" W x 3"L ? with threads tapped into it. The strap is retained by a cross strap that is tack welded on each side in 2 (?) places to the bed.
Time for some close quarters, work but you should be able to bolt and nut the outer hinge piece (43018) in place.
If you have a local JY I am sure a #4 flat tip should get the cross strap bent out of the way enough to get the bracket off.
Those pics are on my "parts" beds....the last pics is a rusty 76 and other pics are off 79 beds.
