1948 f-6 Serial plate decoding

Hello, My name is Scott Louque from Thibodautib-uh-doh) Louisiana. I recently acquired what I believe to be a 1948 F-6 dump truck.
It runs and drives with the assistance of an electric fuel pump. It looks like I will be spending more hours than I should on this project and I am looking forward to it.
But first things first, I need to determine exactly what I have. Below is a picture of the serial tag attached to the passenger side fire wall under the hood and a picture of the truck just cause its fun to look at. Can anyone point me to the right decoder for this tag. I haven't found any info on a tag that looks like this one.
"Vehicle No. 88RT **82744* Branch. DAL"( I think)
