New 2010 E150 Owner Questions

I have a new to me 2010 E150 with 230.000 kms on it. I have a few questions:
1) no over drive light, OD not working. What to check first.
2) what sort of mileage should I expect
3) the back doors leak and the back of the van gets wet while driving in the rain. The weather strip is on the doors and looks fine. Is there supposed to be a mating weather strip on the door "frame"?
4) I need to get a set of summer tires. I have used Michelins in the past. Any suggestions for a service van?
5) I want to put in inverter in the van for charging my tools and running the big drill from time to time. Any links to some body that has done it yet for some tips?

P.S. whtat's with the stupid location for the engine oil dipstick?

Thanks

1) The light itself could be burnt out. The little knurled bezel comes off and the button pulled out of the handle. Its easy to change. Could also be the wires in the column. They will chafe and short out with age. The fix is to replace the lever. It comes with the wiring harness.

2) Mileage depends on which engine, how you drive and how loaded is the van. Empty, combined, expect 14-16 if you are good. 12-14 is common loaded. I got about 17 on the highway.

3) Check the fit of the doors by having someone shine a bright flashlight along the seams from the outside. Preferably at night.

4) Hard to beat the Michelins. I really liked the Yokohama Geolandar H/T. They wear well and have excellent ride and handling. A close second is the Cooper Discoverer HT3. Whatever you get be SURE you get the E load range. The van will wallow like a pig on anything less.

5) Can't help you there.

Michelin LTX M/S are the best; they now are called Defender LTX. Your 2010 E150 will be an E250 "lite" and will need the LT load range tires, but the old 5-lug 150's were fine on P-rated LTX Michelins which were original equipment.
