I running the same engine as Jeff, mechmagcn, in my '49 F4. I have an '84 Mercedes Benz 300TD 5 cylinder Turbo Diesel, 125 hp and 175-180 ftlbs torque. Not a powerhouse, but should run a lot of miles.

Ford 300 in-line 6 in my '53 f250. Stock they were rated at 170 hp. I built mine to be in the 275- 325 hp range. Torque will hopefully be 400+ lb ft. It has a towing cam, Pontiac 389 valves, hyper-eutectic pistons, and a ton of port and polish work on the head. Offy four barrel intake with throttle body fuel injection.
