Need Opinion on Wheels? To Powder coat or Not to Powder coat?

So when I picked my first set of these wheels right after I bought the EX I had wanted to powder coat them black but could not get them done quick or within my budget at that time. So I just went with them as is, and added the black caps with hopes of powder coating them in the future. I was lucky and acquired another set and found someone to powder coat them for a good price and decent turn around. Before I pull the trigger on powder coating I did some quick photoshopping (Quick and sloppy) to get an idea of how my ride might look with the black wheels. I am starting to think I have gotten used to the silver two tone look as now that I see what it looks like all blacked out not sure I like it. Or maybe I as mentioned I am just used to how it looks now. My plan was to powder coat the new set, swap them and sell the first set. The new set is in better condition than the first, and are Lariat ones so all silver versus the current ones which are King Ranch with the light tan inlay color (Which the inlay has some chips). I know at the end of the day it's my opinion that counts, but figured I see what others think. Thoughts?

Since you asked, IMO, the all black is not my choice at all. I'd leave the silver/chrome/alloy as-is to give it the two tone look.

I agree

The all black almost makes them look like Rockstar wheels. I like the polished and black look myself.

My vote is obviously biased as it is what I run, keep the Lariat's shiny aluminum and try a set of chrome center caps on them. I'm not the biggest fan of black wheels, even though I do have a set on my Winter rig (with some machined areas), but I don't think they work well on a black rig that has some chrome showing like yours, a flashier wheel compliments the trim you have.

Thanks all, for the feedback so far. Tom (WE3ZS), I tried the chrome limited caps and then the Lariat ones that came with the latest set and did not care for them. I think I may be good with the two tone I got. The powder coating idea may be thrown out now. lol Thanks again for the feedback!

Those look like the unique OEM Harley caps and nuts, the caps actually snap onto the wheel and the nuts are closed end chrome specials.

I vote to keep the polished with black center caps. I think the polished wheel looks really good with the chrome door trim, and the black caps tie in the body color nicely.

I'd stick with the polished and go back to the chrome centers.

Leave 'em polished and put on the correct non black caps if you can, That would be best IMO.
