Sliding back glass/seal problem
A family friend repainted my dent 20+ years ago. He replaced the stock glass with a sliding unit. I recently removed all the glass to repaint, and I cut up the rear glass seal before I realized it was probably special made for that sliding unit. The ends are thin like the original glass, and the top and bottom where the channels are is about 1/2" wide. The only ID on the sliding unit is a sticker that reads "10198627". Nothing comes up on a google search.
There are a ton of aftermarket versions out now. Some definitely have a thin profile all around and use OEM single pane seals. Others definitely have a thick profile all around and use a special seal. Then, there's those that are a combination like what I need, but there's no way to know what seal would fit mine.
At this point, I'm about ready to just go back with the the original glass and be done with it because I can't afford a new sliding unit. If anyone has any suggestions, I'm all ears.
