Need Some Help 88 F350 Wiring
I just got a 1988 F350 4x4 Crew Cab Long Bed, 351w auto. It's got a 7-1/2 ft meyer plow on it with an E60 pump. I'm trying to diagnose a no power to controller issue for the plow.
I've narrowed it down to the "key on" power source. There are 6 wires coming out of the harness for the controller. Green, red, and black all go to the motor on the pump. Orange goes to ground on battery cable, white goes to ground on solenoid, and blue is "key on" power for the controller.
I know this plow was professionally installed at some point probably years ago. The wire that the blue wire was spliced into was dark green and part of on of the original plastic wire splices ford used. Over near the brake booster. It was spliced into a dark blue wire that went into a white plastic fuse holder. When I put the test light on it, it barely turns the filament of the light red but doesn't actually light up. Regardless if the key is on or off. This fuse holder has a ford emblem on the bottom so I'm wondering if it was a factory fuse holder for an extra accessory.
Really just need a good place for "key on" power if anybody knows another location or if I can go to the radio or something else that's key on
