BTW - what part of Kansas are you from? My photo was taken when I was camping at the Walnut Valley Music Festival in Winfield, KS.
I am about 50 miles nw of winfield. Been there many times but not to the music festival.

I decided on the ARE V series with the flush trim. Yakima rails, carpet headliner and led strip light. Went with 2 handles because I felt it was more secure. If you plan on putting a canoe on the top buy an extra rack for the cab otherwise you'll hit the cab with the gunnels. at the time 12/16 it was one of the only tops that had been made to fit. very happy with it. $1278 so a great value as well.

I had so many issues with the central handle on a previous topper I went with the dual handles also. They are about as bullet proof as you can get.

Dealer I use has installed LEER and Snug Top for me in the past. I asked him and he suggested the ARE. Said the fit and finish on it seems better than the other 2. It was a toss up between the ARE and LEER. I did not like the look of the Snug Top. I told the dealer to decide. He did the ARE. I am very happy with it. Electric lock and LED lights inside.

I ended up with the ARE Z series, with Yakima roof rack and Bedrug XLT mat because I have spray in bed liner. Really happy with it.

You will love the bed rug. I have slept on mine a handful of times while hunting or fishing and it's actually pretty comfortable.

Not sure it matters, but my short bed topper came with 3 clamps on each side. If I were you I would spring for 2 more so you can get one in the middle. Those fiberglass toppers will move around a little with extreme temp changes. Do it once and never worry about it again.

Thanks for all of the input guys. I appreciate the effort. It would be nice to have a rough idea of pricing on these. It seems that getting pricing online is difficult at best.

TnTray, $1278 for an ARE V series looks like a great deal. I was thinking of stopping by my local ARE dealer and getting a quote on the Z series but will add the V to it. I just wish I had a better dealer.

And that is a great point of contention. A dealer can make or break an install.

Yeah, not much near me. There is one dealer that has about half a dozen locations in the area. They have the market cornered and therefore are not motivated. Only a few other options, all further away, they are in a very high overhead area and their pricing reflects that.
