Towing ? re. bumper and golf cart
Thanks in advance for your response,
Just purchased 2017 CCSB 250 6.7--the plan is to put golf cart (1050Lb) in bed(have to pull off the tailgate so it doesn't hit jack on trailer) then hook up travel trailer with WDS hitch, 800lbs tongue weight. I have 2280 useable load so ill be good on that, but the question is does has anyone done this and if so any tips would be greatly appreciated.
I have done a 2 inch level(rear is about 1.0 high)to the truck and have put the SUMO airless springs on rear(2800lb capacity at 50% compression)
Thanks again

I carry 1,500 in bed of truck... motorcycle , ramp, generator and stuff..
and tow a 9,000 pound trailer.... 1,100 tongue weight..
but I have a 3,500 usable load.
check if you can rotate trailer tongue jack.. sometimes that will clear tailgate
most 3 bolts can be clocked 120 degree right or left...
< edit >, I have the slide-in camper package.. so mine has the overload springs from the factory. and rear anti-sway bar.

thanks for the replies, im certain of weights so im within limits for legality--I know people do a lot more with no issue. total weights combines with trailer is about 18K.
Does anyone know if there is a limit to the tailgate when im loading golf cart via ramp? seems stout but would hate to rip it off

I have a 94 ultra classic with a 6 speed gear set and an S&S 113" motor in it with a 51MM CV carb. Had an S&S "G" on it with a Thunderjet setup to come on a 4200 rpms. 130/128 on the numbers.
Seriously fun to ride.
Pulled cargo and popup trailers with it all over the US.
28 mpg no matter what you do pretty much.

I used to ride sport bikes... 160hp and 450 pound bike.. that is F A S T
but then I was 60 pounds lighter also.
reason I can not see trying to add 100 hp to a 400 hp truck engine when its weights 7,000 plus pounds...
