No such thing as an F250 dually. It's either a conversion, or it's an F350.

390 'industrial' motor. It could be a 390, but it also could be a 360. Both were available in 1968/76 F100/350's.

On sale day, 360's magically become 390's!

4th digit of the VIN is the engine code. H = 390 2V / Y = 360 2V

The 71 is a pretty good looking truck. It may already have Disc Brakes on it. Since you are already prepared for a project go and look at it. I would give less for it if you don't hear it run though!

My 1st truck was a 1968 F-100. It had a 352ci. engine and 3 on the tree trans.. It was a great vehicle and I put a lot of miles on it before finally selling it and then getting a 1978 F250. Both were great trucks and the 78 with the front disc brakes probably was a little better on an overall grading.
