Expedition front seat removal
Welcome aboard!
If I'm not mistaken, it's a T-55 Torx bit. You can pick up an inexpensive Torx set from Pep Boys for under $10 (no sense spending a lot on them; they get very little use)
If you have access to an impact wrench (or even a cordless drill), it'll definitely help - the bolts are fairly long with very fine threading, so it takes forever to remove them by hand. If you stick the T-55 Torx socket on an extension, you should be able to put the extension in the drill. Makes things much easier.
Good luck!

Expedition front seat removal
I recently removed my front passenger seat in my 2000 Expedition to install a DVD player under the seat. If you leave the seat frame/sliding mechanism in place, you can remove the seat by removing the 4 nuts holding the seat to the frame. There is also a bunch of wiring that needs to be disconnected. Depending on what you are doing, you can just leave the frame in place and the job is very easy. The nuts are 3/4" or so and are located at the bottom of the seat.

Hi I just want to swap the driver's seat with the passenger seat. I mean the bottom only of the seats. The driver's seat is worn and looking at the seats it seems at first glance that this would work and then the worn area is on the left inside area of the passenger seat. Without unbolting the seats will this work?
Just unbolting the seat bottom cushion from the frame.
Any idea?
