Just a little background, I had ‘94 F250 5.8 for 18 yrs, sold it and got 2011 GMC Denali 10 months ago. Great truck but having paint issues so came across this 2014 Fx4 that has everything I want. Does anyone know of any issues with the 6.2 or the truck in general? Allot of money but I just love this truck. Thanks
The 6.2 is a stout engine and hard to find in the F-150. If it has been well maintained, I would buy it in a heartbeat. There are a couple users here with 6.2s in their F-150s and they have been trouble free. I'm sure they will chime in here.
Chime #1: I love mine. It's a bit thirstier than the 5.0 or the 3.5 EB but lots of grunt and a very good mechanical track record. Whats the axle ratio? 3.73 is desirable from a power standpoint.
-- My gas mileage would probably be better if I could just keep my foot out of it, but it's hard not to enjoy the power.
I have a 2013 with the 6.2. My truck also has Max tow. It will move and it tows things like they arent there. I average 14 MPG. which is very good. My truck is not a daily driver. I love the 6.2. and I probably will never sell it.
I probably won’t either. It’s got so much more room inside than the Denali I just traded. Mirror relay engages under dash cause I can hear it but mirrors won’t fold or even try too. No noise from mirrors at all. Anyone have ideas?
