I'm planning shortly to order the SCT with tune by Five-Start tuning for our Navigator (5.4 32valve/DOHC). They're saying about 10% bump in power & torque and ~6% bump in fuel economy. If these are close to accurate it seems like the best gains for $ for this engine.

Reviews seem mostly positive, but wanted to check in here and see if there's some compelling reason to go a different direction, or not do it at all.

We use the Navigator to tow a ~5,000lb camper and it's certainly adequate but a little more power wouldn't hurt.

Sorry, I can't speak for what the tuner will do for your engine but I am looking at buying the same thing for my 2003 Ford F250 w/ V10 6.8L. From the V10 forum, this tuner is the best thing since sliced bread to breath new life into these beasts.

 

Interested in this as well for my ‘05 Expedition. Please provide an update if you go this route.
