does anyone else get accosted by the Amazon winning gift card BS from this site? Everyday while browsing it freezes and takes me to a stupid screen saying I’ve won.

 

I can't view this site via mobile. It's ridiculous that this site uses advertising to turn us away.

 

Correct, I’ve used several different forums and this is the first time anything like this has happened. It happens so much that I second guess even visiting the site.

 

I haven't had that happen. I use Ad Block Plus, but I'm also a paid up FTE member.

 

I receive NO adds. windows 7 Pro and firefox 64 bit.

 

I use the mobile version from my IPhone and it has been happening more and more frequently over the past month. Sadly I am not a paid member as I can not afford to pay money for everything I am interested in or I would pay just to try it.

 

Same here. I've used ABP on Firefox, Chrome, Opera and Vivaldi.

 

I am a mod on another forum and I don't think this is an ad thing. When it happened to us it was some sort of virus. Our tech people had to shut the site down for several hours to squash it out. It seems to be happening here only on the mobile platform for some reason. I have not seen anything pop up other than the typical side and top bar ads when using a computer. Either way, I wont view the site mobile until this is fixed....very annoying.
Note: I don't think this is a virus that will damage your phone or computer but is some sort of annoying ad bug on the forum.

 

Same here - not an issue on my desktop but the mobile version (Safari/iPhone) is under constant assault from Amazon, Wal*Mart, etc for these gift card entries...
Its a pain to be right in the middle of reading a post and have that ad/intrusion pop-up. Hate it.

 

I will try switching from mobile to the full site. Glad to know others have had success by not using the mobile version.

 

If you are on an iPhone try using the 1Blocker free app. I haven't gotten those pop-ups browsing mobile.

 

 

After switching to the Full site I’ve read at the bottom of the screen that this forum partners with Amazon to fulfill income needs. I guess the adds are just more intrusive on the mobile version than the desktop version. 🤷🏼*♂️

 

 

I have had malware attempt to exploit my mobile browser several times from this site.
