Here is a page out of the 1971 Ford shop manual. As you can see the 2 barrel heads are identical. If you want to get rid of those 4 groove valves you can use 79 and up valves which have single loc grooves.
I don't believe so. By the time the 351C's were gone people were more concerned with gas mileage. Since most of us had spent a lot of time waiting in lines to get 5 gallons of gas at quadruple the price it had been. But there are plenty of aftermarket intakes for them.
so did FORD apply any 4 bbl intake manifolds to the smaller 2 bbl heads ?
Ford USA didn't make any 4bbl intakes to suit the 2bbl heads, but Ford Australia did. Not really worth trying to track down unless you have to use a factory intake for competition purposes, they are still massive, heavy cast iron lumps and there are many aftermarket 4bbl intakes which will work with the 2bbl heads that are much, much better.
