I have a 2002 Ford F-150 5.4 L truck..when I shift the gear into drive there is a hesitation with the transmission...I looked under the hood and can't seem to find the transmission dipstick..assuming that it may be low...I've looked on the passenger side near the firewall..I do not see any yellow handle marked Transmission..Any ideas ?

 

Hows about you look in your owner manual page 247.
It's there.
Down low near the valve cover passenger side for both v8 engines.
