Better than many "pro" videos companies produce

NOW it looks like a Heavy Duty Diesel Truck!

We wanted tough but not Mad Max and not Utility Truck. Nothing wrong with those looks, but not our desire for our Excursion.

Your new Ranch Hand is very similar in style and seems to have a similar feel to it. Nice job
Agreed! The Westin (like you have) and this were the only 2 left on the list of choices when it was finalized. We decided on this only because of the additional horizontal bars, which is not the right choice for everyone.

I miss the grille though if I am being 100% honest, but there would not be a grille left if we have to use the guard, so grateful it went on easy enough.

Thanks for your help in answering multiple questions and sending even more pictures of your set up.

Thanks Jim! It really is a great truck for us. I am glad we waited (took 8 months) and found the right one for us. Not easy to find a short bed, extended cab 4x4 with a ZF6.

Time to start a career making instructional videos and writing installation instructions for companies.

Glad to help where I can. We wanted the protection but not the big look. Hence the chrome to match and no screen up front, etc. It blends in nicely for us, but still intimidating when the ricer wants to push his way in and looks UP at it (true story!)

As you say, it all depends on what features and look you're looking for. We really like ours. And I think your truck looks good with your Ranch Hand.

I'll bet that screen is only tacked on in a few welded spots...cutoff wheel and some touchup paint on the BACK of the guard, if you change your mind about it...

The naked headlights don't look too bad, either. I may consider removing the extra guards I have in there, leaving the outline hoops. Technically they "block" some light and are removable for inspection and "on road use"

The screen is in fact tack welded about every 8" or so. We plan to leave it on for a bit and see what we think. If we end up not liking it, I would remove the grille guard and get rid of the screen.

Just want to be sure we do or do not like the screen first before moving forward.

The build quality is really good. We were impressed.

Looks great and very well done instructional. My 1 cent opinion is keep the screen. More protection against road debris and looks good.

aka "removable" LOL.

Any other expensive parts we can talk you into grinding on in the first 24hrs?

But seriously, try it out and see. You have to park and walk in to a Walmart or somewhere with a big parking lot- parked in the outskirts of course.

Then when you come out and walk towards your truck, if you can't stop grinning, that means it's PERFECT! LOL.

Not the first 24 hours, but in order to mount the fuse block that I want to use for my additional positive cables off the B+ post of the alternator it needs to come off and be modified a bit. I bought an extension for the horizontal post that turns it into a vertical, then may need to grind a bit of the rear case down a bit.

We will see what happens. Going to get it done before the camping trip coming up soon and after the post arrives. So, $350 alternator goes on the bench for Sous mods...

They are dark red knock off Abercrombe from Korea that I bought in... 1997.

Those are one of the very few pairs of pants that my wife lets me wear when working on the vehicles or in the yard. For good reason too, you can see where I was crawling around in the mud under the 5th wheel trailer on them.

Thanks for the fashion compliment though

You're very welcome.
Great job on the video, I actually thought it was from the manufacturer at first until I read the thread a little closer.
