3 Speed Transmission Removal

3 Speed Transmission Removal
My apologies if this question has been asked before...I did a search first on transmission removal and got 499 hits. Reviewing the titles, very few actually dealt with transmission removal, so I gave up.
The question is, is it possible to remove the 3 speed transmission on a 50 F1 without pulling the engine? There does not appear to be sufficient space behind the transmission and the cross member to move it backwards enough to get the nose piece out of the clutch disc. Am I missing something? Does it come out thru the floorboard with the transmission tunnel cover and seat removed?
If the answer is you must pull the engine...is it possible to remove the motor mounts and simply move the engine forward to gain the needed distance?
Thanks,
Tennsmith

Not hard at all to pull just the trans. It comes up into the cab for removal, insteading of dropping down like on many vehicles. Remove the seat, transmission cover on the floor, remove the bolts from the transmission support, and raise the back of the engine by jacking under the oil pan (with a 2x6 to cushion the pan). Disconnect clutch linkage, driveshaft, etc.
