Let us hear how well that works because I have not tried it yet ... but I will next time I check my fuel for water.

CORRECTION: I just tried stuffing a 1/2" O.D. hose into a spare valve and it DID NOT fit. I measured again and found the bottom opening measures 0.470" I.D., so it looks like a 7/16" O.D. hose (0.4375" O.D.) would be a better fit.
UPDATE: Ordered a 3-foot length of 5/16" I.D. x 7/16" O.D. clear PVC vinyl tubing via eBay, and it fits well. Will be awhile before I actually try draining some fuel through it, and I'm concerned the lubricating qualities of the fuel may cause it to fall out. I may add a wire wound around the tubing and hook it over the valve as a way to secure it while draining.

I drained mine for the first time today. Just a bit and all was good but it was dripping so I opened it back up and was making sure to push up and then it snapped. Got a 5 gal bucket under it but now what? Am I screwed until Monday?

Sounds like it, and possibly longer. Did you read post #30 above?

I did but hoping my dealer or another might still have one. I'm stuck at our lake house so might see if I can get a rental tomorrow.

I think from here on I will let my dealer check it. I didn't even turn it that hard.

Just a heads up that when I went to buy a couple spares awhile back, my dealer had to order them. Hope you luck out and find a dealer that has one (or more) in hand.

That's so wrong. Going to see if I can get a rental so I can get home. We are coming back here next week so hopefully I have better luck in a bigger city.

One guy mentioned being able to put the valve back in place even with a broken tab. If you broke both then you're probably SOL.

Yeah there's not much tab left. I've tried and it won't grab. What a stupid design!!!

I'm hoping I can find at least one this week.If not any kind members care to send me their spare? I'd definitely replace it when I got mine and also repay for shipping.

Try Sunrise Ford Parts Department, I ordered 2 last week and came in 2 days. Cost me a total of $10 shipped. Talk to Sean if you can.

So is the part # listed at the top of this thread?(HC3Z-9J305-A) correct ?

When I Google it or search Amazon it comes up with a pic of a threaded plug that doesnt look right.

Amazon will change the number on you sometimes. I noticed that when searching for this part. Here is a link to it at Tasca Parts using that number.
