Oil leaking from dip stick hole

A lot of splash in the engine, on the 8BA squirt holes on the rods, etc. the stock sticks have a gasket at the seal, which has probably deteriorated. As others have suggested I would try to seal it off, the fat o ring sounds promising. If it ain't leaking somewhere you are out or low on oil on these beasts. Just try to minimize it best you can.
