Does anyone know where I can find some good info on my truck and mostly my engine. It is a 400. All I know is that it has a 4 barrell edlebrock with a holley high rise intake and a --?????????Low crank pulling cam???????---

I want to lift the front tires off of the ground but first I have to learn about my motor. Before I can work on it. Ha!!!

I've owned the same 77 F150 with a 400 for 23 years now, I think I'm on a first name basis with every nut and bolt in that truck by now. If you get stuck on something give me an e-mail and I'll try to help you out.

I know that I need flat top pistons, right? I know that my truck has been rebuilt, but I dont know what the extras are, that were put in. She has "some" power. She will bark those 35's every once and a while.

I know that one problem I have is that it cranks too fast and then cuts back off. A friend told me that it was the timing. I know nothing about timing. Help.

Another problem is that the guy I bought it from says that it needs a bigger carb. <-- I dont know about this. He said that the carb cant keep up with the demand from the cam. What is this all about. Something about when the cam calls for fuel, it doesnt get it until its too late and it tries to flood out. Duh, Oh, What, Huh????????
