2002 F350 7.3 diesel Heater Core?
- Hello Out There: need DIY heater core replacement tips: 2002 F350 7.3 turbo diesel. Noticed a puddle outside passenger door behind front tire but directly under outside foot stirrup...thought it was from someone else. Kept an eye on it at next stop: same thing + notice an eeny -teeny pencil diameter run of antifreeze about a foot long on passenger floor matt directly under glove box. Any change it's a loose hose clamp, a pin hole hose leak, a valve. Semi-knowledge friends (but unfamiliar with this type rig) say it's definitely my heater core. I checked with a parts store & replacement core is only around $40 but I'd like to make sure that's my problem. Any guru tech assist info out there? Sure could use and appreciate it. Thanks for any/all input!

BTW, if you go to youtube, you will watch the SR master tech do this and he has the tips your looking for. Type in heater core replacement 2000 f250 ford.
I follow his methods on everything and he always provides the best info.
Denny (I can spin a wrench but I'm too dumb to be able to post a link thingy)

I couldn't find the video you referenced unless it was the guy using a hack saw to cut his dash supports?

Mark,
He's a southern gentleman that covers everything with the viewer in mind.
You, me and Sous are Yanks. They take things a little slower down south (IE brewing etc..........) but the end product is always top shelf, LOL.
If you don't follow him, give a few other productions a shot. He rates very highly on explanation and procedure. I miss DT Ron, but he is my go to when I'm diving into the abyss.
Some of the processes he uses are completely different and give you an out from the general logic applied by the manuals or the time and true approach. Pretty cool.
But I will say Sous needs to get a tripod and a snap thing for our pleasure!
Hat's off to all. Thanx for your sharing and diligence. I just learned to link!!!
