I have a 2008 F350 and I am the original owner. It has 109000 miles and I have always used Ford Powerstroke 15/40 oil. I was wondering if I should change to synthetic oil. If I do what would the mileage intravals be. Thanks.

 

That is the million dollar question. That’s all personal opinion.

I run Delo 5W/40 Full Syn. I run 5,000 miles intervals. Currently waiting for Blackstone report to see how things are going.

the owners manual does not provide a different maint schedule for sync vs petrolum


do you have a magnetic drain plug? when ever I use 15W40 I get fuzz on the magnetic drain plug and no fuzz if I use 5W40. probally becuase I am in a cold weather area....might not be the case in warmer areas.

 

I have seen those. Probably a good idea to pick one up.
