The price of used 6.0 engines seems to have gone down quite a bit.

Does that mean ours are getting more reliable, or the 03-07 chassis are at end of life?

It does take a while to really be able to think opposite. Until you do, never ever park on the other side of the street as you WILL drive off in the wrong lane and wonder what that idiot is doing coming straight at you.

There was a time when I had one of each. Every so often I'd go to change gear and open the door instead. That was always fun...

Apparently you've never heard of quantitative easing, or maybe QE1, QE2, or QE3? That's the $80mil/month and has been going on since 2009, maybe 2008. They're just now starting to taper it back, which is causing interest rates to go up.

The Federal Reserve Act of 1913 .... look it up. It turned our whole economy into a debt based system, and created fractional reserve banking. And yes, inflation is due mostly to the Fed, and has been on the rise since its inception.

Do some reading and educate yourself.

Rant over. Please carry on.

Thanks for reinforcing my argument, I don't disagree with anything you wrote, nor does it do anything to change my point.

Oh, and the fed hasn't been printing $80 million a month and putting it into the stock market since 1913, but then again you did agree with me on that point...in a strange sort of way.

Nobody said the Fed has been injecting money into the stock market since 1913.

I believe Navistarnut's point was this: Quantitative Easing (QE), a Federal Reserve program, causes inflation like everything else the Federal Reserve has done since it was founded in 1913.

If you wish to discuss further can we do it via PM's to quit mucking-up this thread?

I get that, and I agreed with the premise of his comment, The op's question was concerning the 6.0's....I was simply staying in the time frame of the question he asked. We could beat this to death, no wait, we already have. I made my point. I'm done with it.

Hmmm, so I guess what you're implying is that the prices of the 6.0 haven't so much gone up, as much as they have reacted (relatively) to the value of the dollar. Got it... At least the value of the 6.0 hasn't crashed further, as much as they did 2 years after I bought my truck new LOL. Hey, you guys can jack this thread all you want. I think it's pretty much lived its life.

Lol, so glad to see some others here "get it"

To add a point about "printing" all that fiat.........pretty sure nowadays it's done with a few keystrokes
Good to know at least the FED cares enough to not kill all those trees

Sorry, enough of the soapbox for me.
