I did see the Reno plans.

Is the old bed in good shape? Why not just swap it over?

Good morning everyone!

I'm going to be over in Coupeville over the weekend of August 25th. My wife is gonna go to an herb symposium and I'm just gonna go hang out and visit friends. If anybody wants to get together for coffee, lunch, a beer in the afternoon let me know. Maybe we can get a little get together going on Saturday. I think we are headed home in Sunday afternoon.

I encourage people to go and do things like this.

It sort of needs a bed side replaced but in inside is in so much better shape and not bent all up. The one that came on the truck looks like someone dropped
logs in it from a front loader more than once I would be willing to bet. It looks like it has waves like out on Puget Sound. It even holds water in then some are so deep.
And when it happened it also bent the support rails from side to side. I was unable to push them back with the 20 ton Port-A-Power. I looked into a take off bed and
found a few but it is getting hard to find a non aluminum one and by the time it's done I would be into it more than the cost to fix the one from the wrecked truck.
Paint and spray in bed liner add up fast to a lot more than the repair. Sucks would of been nice to have one of the 2014 beds with the old man ladder. Part od the
issue is if it's any color other than white it would have to be base primed to the light grey so that the color would match the rest of the truck.

BTW the project will be for sale at some point when I am done with it or if someone makes a good offer now.

I think you can get into the album to look at the photos with this link. >>> https://www.ford-trucks.com/g/album/9988874

Your not allergic to cats just cat spit. There is a protein in cat salvia that is the cause of it.
And as we know cats like to clean there coats a lot so unless you give poor kitty a bath...

Hmm, I think I missed something there.
What are you putting and engine into and why?

I have a nice 6.0L F350 that I am putting back together and will be selling it some time.

Gas engines are not so bad. Once the bores are cleaned up and true
The biggest return will be clean injectors.

Monday Funday

I spent the weekend down in Medford/Ashland for a family wedding. Had a brand new Ford Escape for a rental car. Neat little commuter - that's about all I have to say about it.

Would've been nice to have an Exploder for a rental because that's what I was tossing around as a potential 2/3 row vehicle for us to use as the family commuter when the Ex is oversized for the occasion. I think the Exploder looks better than the MDX/Highlander choices and gets ultra bonus points for being a Ford. I imagine reliability/reparability doesn't compete with Acura/Honda/Toyota. See lots of them out on the road, so they can't be THAT bad =P
