Rich. I'm here whenever you want to swing through. Tiff is back at work in Warrensburg, so no big blue Ford to take. I can help with fuel in your truck, though.
Just made a couple deals that'll keep me in dent parts for a while. 3 trucks for $1,000 and a 4th one is being donated. I have to wait until my axles sell to get them, then find a place to park them. I guess behind the depot, out of site would be the best for them. I also have two more 460s showing up this weekend. One of which, looks to be identical to the big engine I'm putting in my truck, so I'll have another spare for Earthquake.

Good afternoon all! So, went to a guys house yesterday, to buy a futon for my daughter. But, what was sitting in his garage? A 66 Fairlane 390 convertible. It had been sitting there since 82. I just about freaked. Told him if he ever wants to sell it to call me. I'm sure he'd want a ton for it.

Hey Rich. He had been doing some work, all the body work was done, it was in primer. Engine and tranny had been rebuilt. He said he hadn't touched it in years, though. I was just awesome, my favorite car is the 66-67 Fairlane, and a convertible would just be that much better!
I had a 66, 2 door hard top, with a 289, and C4. Drove the hell out of it, and got rid of it. I'm still kicking myself in the knads for that. And the 65 Thunderbird too, well and that Ranchero that had the CJ and 4 speed in it.... We do stupid things when we're young n dumb.
I just haven't seem to have grown up a lot.

Afternoon All!
Rich. Thursday is fine.
I'm still plugging along on the rear axle. I got it apart, cleaned out and the pinion flipped. Now to start welding on it. (I spun the center section 180 degrees in the housing so the pinion is now centered in the axle instead of offset) You do this to make room for the pinion brakes. It also gives better driveline angles.

I don’t poke my head out of the 53-56 forum very often.
My son is not far from you. He just started at The College of the Ozarks this month.
Anyone here going to the Ozark mountain run in July in Branson? I went last summer and it was the first long trip for my truck. The 48-50 mph cruising speed made for a drive. Hence the desire to go from 4.88 to 3.73 fear. Hopefully I will be able to get away this year.

Joe welcome to the Mo chapter, do you need front or rear D60?
Unk Bob would you be able/care to to haul Alan and I to go visit RC (in the hospital) in Mountain Home Ark some time this week? Like maybe depart wed early afternoon? I can get to Alan's and I'll pay for all the grub and gas there and back.

Howdy Joe. Feel free to poke your head in any time you like. One of the teachers I supervise has a daughter out at C of O...
While not Ford truck related, I did make some more progress last night...
It's turning out to be an excellent way to improve my welding and metal working skills before I dive into the '71. I might make more progress if I didn't keep finding little things that I just can't leave alone.
