New thread for grumbling sound.

New thread for grumbling sound.
I have a random grumbling sound like a ball bearing is going bad accompanied by an intermittent metallic chirping sound. Engine runs fine, no codes. 125k miles.
I dove in and replaced both tensioners, both belts, both idlers, and the water pump. Checked the A/C compressor clutch bearing and it seems fine. Actually, all the old bearings and the water pump seem fine too. I have the H&S tuner running in tow mode and EGR/DPF delete, but that has been for a year now with no issues. But now I'm afraid to drive it.
Any help would be greatly appreciated.

you should put up a video with a sound clip.
I have a low groan/roar that sounds like a metal trash can lid sliding across cement.
my noise is either the power steering pump or the power steering unit.....I know this becuase if I add lubegaurd power steering lubercant to my new fluid...the noise gets much lower. will tackle when the weather is not 6 degrees.
I had thought it was my rotors...changed them...contaminated brake fluid...complete flush, well bearings...changed them
squeaky chirpy sounds sometimes is just either loose belts or glazed/worn belts. the belt noise happens after startup becuase of the full load on the alternator to charge the battery...then it goes away or gets lower once there is less torque on the belt for the alternator.
happy hunting

I have the video in another thread. I'll repost it here in a few.

I have all new bearings and belts on the front end - no change, but that's an interesting scenario with the power steering.

The magnitude and occurrence increase with engine speed up to about 1,800 r/m then remains constant. Vehicle speed isn't a factor.

Yeah. I attribute this to my own ignorance in running with diluted engine oil and believing in the Ford 10,000 mile oil change intervals. By the time I made the mods and corrections I think the damage had already been done by the regen crap. Live and learn. What's ironic is that I'm a Chief Engineer and have been working on diesels that you can walk right up to for over 20 years. Ha!

Update:
The grumbling/rattling sound was the rear alternator bearing that would occasionally seize and cause the belt to slip, hence the chirping sound. Installed a rebuilt alternator and everything is sweet again.
Thanks to all that helped with the diagnosis, appreciate your time and trouble.

??? What about the black smoke & no boost? Intercooler boot?
CAC (Intercooler) pipe lower drivers side hose jumper partially blown off. Don't understand why it didn't throw a low boost code tho.
Glad the noise was simpler and cheaper than turbos.
Ya, me too. But the stealer still got me for $835 for installing a rebuilt alternator. Chalking that up to an expensive lesson learned.
