I did a little, "on line" truck shopping yesterday. I was thinking of replacing the 08 oil burner. After looking at the prices, I don't think that is in the cards. When did trucks hit 65 and 70 grand????

Denny when I bought my Super Duty I could not justify the diesel. Went with the gas motor. It does everything I need it to do. Biggest reasons I went to the 250 was the need for a crew cab and an 8 foot bed because of my hobby.

Afternoon Denny, Craig, Larry, Shaun, Pat, Ken, Bud and anyone that I missed. If a 250 is in my future, it will also be a gasser. I just can not justify the up front cost of a diesel and the increased maintenance costs.

I know what you mean Neil. The 6.2 in my truck is very stout and does well for me. Tows my cargo trailer and doesnt even feel like it is there. Towed my parents camper and did not even notice it. Also towed a friends Dodge Charger when his transmission went out.

Good Monday evening Delaware and Denny I will gladly take an evening delight from todays server.
I understand the cost dilemma and that is why I have a 99SD 7.3. I couldn't justify the price tag and know the depreciation hit I would take in the 1st year!

When I bought the 08, I traded a 5.4 gas, 05. I was pulling a toy hauler and the diesel was a huge advantage. Now I tow my car hauler and the Falcon. Gas would probably do the job, but the diesel does it with such little effort. I only have 70,000 on my 08, so replacing is a choice, not a need. And right now, I just don't need to. Besides, now I can convince the boss I saved saved a bundle of money and deserve a tuner, pipes and other nice to haves. Wellll, it might work.

Good Tuesday morning all. Could it really be? Do we actually have another beautiful day in store? Well, that would make the weatherman right. For about the third time this year.
Let's get some coffee!

Good morning truck fans, Denny, Craig, all D-ware and visitors....server is lookin' nice this morning - a modest, business type ! Large Coffee please, black ! Oh yes, would love a roll in the hay. With poppy seed, please.
Yesterday conversation about gas vs diesel was interesting. My '05 250 will not be replaced either. At my advancing age I doubt if I'll be pulling the 5th wheel for a lot more years. Nice thing is - the truck is just about to turn a young 70,000 miles and is still a pretty nice lookin' vehicle. No need to spend my grandkids inheritance on anything like a new one. Esp not at today's prices...a new truck is more than I paid for my house !!!
