Good afternoon Virginia and sheep wool thong wearers!


George, you called it about right. Hit the road at 5 am Saturday morning to get to the NASCAR Hall of Fame in time for their 8 am opening that day. Got to participate in 4 of 7 autograph sessions, met 13 drivers, got 2 more autographs on my Wood Brothers hat (Elliott Sadler and Paul Menard), got Ryan Blaney's autograph on the aforepictured Pocono win car, got a smaller 1:64 diecast signed by Ryan Reed. My daughter Scarlet got 11 more autographs on her WBR t-shirt, upping her total to 31 autographs, including 2 current Hall of Famers (Glen and Leonard Wood).


We left when they closed at 5, and thanks to a tip from James of the NC Chapter, stopped at "The Monk" in Lexington for dinner and scored some AMAZING BBQ. Got home a little before 9pm that night. Made a short grocery run, gave Melissa's car a quick wash (it was covered in salt after pulling snow duty), and other than that, took it as easy as possible.
