F-1 Snowglobe

While out X-mas shopping with the wife I stumbled on this snow globe.
I didn't buy it that night and when I went back it was gone. The lady at the store gave me the name of the company; Coolsnowglobes.com
https://coolsnowglobes.com/collectio...ts/red-truck-1
The thing looked a lot better in person, there was good detail on the truck. The pics don't do it justice.

Very cool Bobby!

Unfortunately, we have our own "walk-in snowglobe" around here these days!

Currently minus 27 C today, light snow.

OH Bobby blow your T-shirt weather out your ear! As I'm sitting here typing it's below 0°, I don't think it got above 1° all day. I'll just wait until next June when you can't work on your trucks because it's sooo hot and the ugly, poisonus creepy crawlings are making it dangerous to crawl under your truck

Duane, we'll laugh it up when they start crying about the heat and the nasty bugs and poisonous snakes and spiders in a few months. If we have to us northerners can put on a few extra layers of clothing and go work outside, we can take it. It's aweful hard to try to stay cool when it's 110° outside.

At least it make me feel a lot better when I think about it that way. I really, truly hate Wisconsin winters, really, I do.

LOL...The creepy crawlies aren't bad here in NM. some small scorpions, some big centipedes and black widows are the main things. The snakes aren't too bad, an occasional rattler. We're dry enough we don't have to worry about ticks, etc.
Buuuut...the heat can be a pain. You can't lean on your fender or you'll burn your belly, your tools get too hot to pick up. You have to constantly refresh the ice in the frosty beverage box, etc, etc, etc.

I don't think I'd trade you for anything

Well, for our frosty drinks, mine being diet cola, we just have to open a window, that is if it's not froze shut, and break off an icycle or look for a patch of clean snow the dog hasn't visited yet. And in the summer we don't worry about weight gain because the humming bird sized mosquitoes will drain a few pints of blood from our veins and what the mosquitoes don't get the humidity will make you sweat out. So there!!!

I just went out to our unheated detached garage to get a diet Snapple ice tea. I got one that wasn't frozen. As I was Between the garage and the house I shook it to get sediment off the bottom and it slushed up instantly. And there is still some slushy ice in the bottle as I am drinking it. A frosty beverage for sure!

Cold snap hitting San Antonio to start 2018. Out looks like it'll be hovering around freezing for the next few days. I had to bring in a bunch of bare root fruit trees that I just received and temporarily potted. I'm curious to see how the actual weather matches the forecasts, which seem to be all over the place right now. Also, I have a brisket to smoke and I don't know how to do it in this weather. All in all, I'm looking forward to this adventure.
