48-52 truck front fender splash guards

anybody know what type of screw would originally have been used to mount these to the cab? The parts book doesn't list the fastener.

Boy JB, you’re right. The 7C 16022/23 section that lists the splash guards is silent on the fasteners. From memory (dangerous I’ll admit), I recall them being a pan headed short sheet metal screw. Probably similar in size to a 1/4” - 20 tpi bolt. I’ll be going out to the barn later and will eyeball them on one of the trucks to confirm or correct my recall. I’ll edit if I’m wrong. Stu

Thanks Stu, Ron in WI says they are similar to the transmission cover and pedal plate screws.

5/16 hex head sheet metal screws .Very familiar w/ them as have taken off many splash guards on the parts safaris .

Denny do you know if the transmission cover and pedal plate sheet metal screws are also 5/16 sheet metal screws? What size screw, #10/#12/#14?

1/4 or 5/16 hex head sheet metal screw . Check each on a hole . If being covered w/ a floor mat maybe not that critical .
