Is it simple as pulling the shifter out, snap old part out...snap new part in, or is there a certain procedure to it?

7K453 nylon bushing is shown at upper right in pic.

AFAIK, all you have to do is remove the shift lever, remove the broken pieces (a common problem!) of the old bushing, replace with new.

Good to hear you got it fixed but do tell us how as Bill list the part as " Obsolete".
Where did you find a new one or did you make something to "fit in"?
