My son in law just phoned me to say that the end of the master cylinder push rod that connects to the clutch arm has broken. Two weeks ago the retainer wore out and the rod slipped off the pin. we replaced the retainer clip ( a piece that cost 12 bucks and is worth 2 cents) and *** was well but now the round (banjo) end of the rod has broken! This is made of plastic and apparantly is not too durable although my 93 with 255,000km is still original. He lives in the city so the clutch will wear faster I suppose. Anyway, what I need to know is how do you replace the rod that has the round end on it that pushes the master cylinder? You help is greatly appreciated.
