Are there any advantages to running stock fuel injected exhaust over the original? The reason I ask is that I am trying to get dual exhaust on my sons truck when we switch the intake. I know this not the best option but it would keep the truck on the road while recovering from expense of the carb and manifold.

Efi exhaust manifolds yes, the rest of the efi exhaust system, no.

The efi exhaust system isn't a dual exhaust. It's dual pipes off the manifolds. But then they both go into a single cat.

If you didn't want to start from scratch on the exhaust system you could get the stock efi head pipes/cat off the donor truck. Cut them off the cat and build your dual system from there.

The HD exhaust are listed on E Bay now & then and there is a company in Texas making new reproductions. Sorry I don't have the name.
