Good day today Gang. Got LOTS done to. NEW garage door is in and the windows are going to be installed on Wednesday. Made arrangements of the roofer to reshingle the shop roof in August. BP has until July 25th to get their a$$ in gear. Then the smelly stuff is gonna hit the fan..lol. We are getting the house list down to nil so I can get back at the '77. Landscaping around the house is done now also. Some brick repointing tomorrow morning and we are ready for the aluminum dude. We also have about a dozen more trips to the dump and recycling depot. Be glad when THAT chore is done. I am starting to hesitate on throwing stuff out. NOT a good sign. Well time to hit the sheets. You guys have a good night and play safe if you are still up !!! Night ALL

Insurance is supposed to be doing our roof in the next week or two. I think they got sick of coming to measure a new ceiling every time it rains. New garage is coming along nicely but slowly, foundation is backfilled very nicely and framing will start soon.
And I got sick of feeding my Chevy Express gas just for driving back and forth to work and my wife works at a Kawasaki dealer a nice restored 77 KZ200 caught my eye there so I picked that up for some fuel savings. Loving the 2 wheel life so far even though I'm not racking up miles very fast, this definitely isn't a cross country bike.

Good to hear you are making some progress there to Chad. I don't know about your area but there is a shortage of SKILLED trades people in our neck of the woods. Seems the younger ppl just don't want to go through the extensive apprentice programs. The business owners are telling me that the younger generation want journey mans wages and don't know the first thing about what that entails !!! lol Some can't even write nor can they spell . On a sour note... the dodge is trying to spit out her pinion bearing!!! I don't know enough about Dana rear ends to even attempt the fix nor do I have the tools. I am hoping that it didn't do ANY damage to the pinion shaft or the ring gear, that will be really pricey to fix. I do know that while our neighbor mechanic, licenced by the way, has it apart, to replace ALL the bearings. I believe he knows that tho. I/we figure that if it costs us $2000 or less it is still cheaper that trying to buy another truck as we know what we have and its condition. I did get a start on sanding the FREE fenders for painting, they be black and the truck is the dark Grey metallic. I am gonna set aside a weekend to put them on. Well it is getting rather warm here and momma WANTS the computer. OH yeah and she goes and rents a car !!!! I almost had a friggin heat attack when she got home.. A Chebby Equinox WTF. EVEN the neighbours looked in disbelief. lol It was all she could rent on short notice. But I guess it's better than wasting shoe leather. It is not a BAD SUV it's just that it is a GM and I despise those things with a passion. Anyway Y'all have a great Sunday and play safe. Toodles ..

Man... y'all talking of home renos... We're currently renting a place from my boss which we plan to buy in the near future, but come to find out when he finished the basement, he did it all wrong Looks like I'll be gutting it and trying to fix mold and moisture problems. This aughta dig into the restoration slush fund I keep looking out the window at the ol' ford and sighing lol.

Best way to stop the water in a basement, is to start from the out side/ footer drains, sealant and membranes on the outside of the walls.

Morning Gang. Beauty day here in Cranbrook. Well the NEW windows are in. Must say they look super and the Old Girl is HAPPY, HAPPY, HAPPY !!! Now all I have to do is re trim them and all done. Had my roofer come out and re-measure for the shop roof. He is gonna start after the long weekend in August. Not gonna wait for the jerks at BP. They have until the 25th of this month then the Lawyer is involved. I have been jerked around by other companies and ppl BUT nothing like this outfit !!!! The aluminum guy is a little behind but I am next on his list. Just got the Dodge back from my mechanic... he has replaced ALL the bearings in the rear end AND a bad tranny line. Asked him how many thousand denarro. His answer.. " not as much as your thinking" So that in its self is a good sign. Just a couple of more weeks for clean up around here and a few more trips to the dump and re cyclers and finished around the house !!! Got a line on some firewood for the winter to. Seasoned, split @ 60 a face cord. picked up which is more better for me as I can stack it in the garage as I pick it up. Saves dumping it in the driveway and then have to bend over and pick it up and then a BIG mess to clean up afterwards. It's coming together for us.. FINALLY. I am getting antsy about getting back at the '77 soon. Got some sheet metal to replace on the Dodge ( front fenders) an oil change and she is ready for the winter. Well gotta get out there while it is a great day, Y'all have a super Thursday and play safe Cheers !!!
