Titan Fuel Tank

WHO puts a 26 gallon fuel tank into an F350 diesel??? I'll be stopping every 220 miles at this rate. Ok, trying o see if anyone has recommendations for Titan 50gallon replacement tank installers in the Dallas area? It sure looks simple, but I doubt my HOA wants me out in the street dropping the tank.

You get a 37 gallon tank with the 8ft bed.

I'm not in the Dallas area so I can't help you with your question, but any diesel performance shop or aftermarket customization shop should be able to do it.

There are a few YouTube video's on the tank swap. I got a buddy to install mine in about 2 hours.

Make sure you clean the inside of the tank good. Torque the nuts for the sending/pickup twice per the install guide.

I did a pressure check on mine before installing in the truck. I installed the sending/pickup, sealed off all the openings, applied about 30psi, then checked for leaks. This saves having to drop the tank to reseal something when you fill it and have a fuel leak.

Screw the HOA DIY. You own a Diesel take care of it. I was thinking about buying a titan tank. Either the spare tire tank or replacing my 26 with the bigger tank. Plenty of youtube videos buddy.

Yes, it sure looks easy. I just don't have the space to do it though - garage is too small, driveway is inclined and HOA would definitely frown on me doing it out in the street.

Its a pretty easy swap. I did mine on the garage floor on my 2012 F-250 installing the Titan 50 gallon in it. Just run your 26 gallon low on fuel . about 2 hours including skidplate removal and mod of the transfer case skid plate for clearance. Make sure you have a torque wrench available and do the torque 2 times with the wait time in between on the sender unit if you decide to do it yourself. If you don't it will leak when filled up. I didn't know about Forscan software to make the tank change size when I did mine and had to go to the second Ford dealer in my area to get them to change settings for me. I had a sheet from Titan that was originally from Ford on how to do it but the closest Dealer to me wouldn't hear of doing it . The second one said no problems they had done a few. Now knowing about the free Forscan software if you want to you can do it yourself with a laptop and a 20.00 ELM327 OBDll adapter. Just food for thought.

I have a dumb HOA here, thank god im not in it, but they also kinda frown on the doing repairs in the street, hell I had the president of the HOA I live in call the police and I was one and done before the police arrived.....I just looked at the officer when they asked about it and said I have no idea what they are talking about..... the tank drop is really easy, the worst bit (at least on the 99 - 16 trucks is the stuff above the tank and balanceing it on a jack if its loaded with fuel....but total time for me (this was my first time dropping a fuel tank) was about 1.5 hours...granted I had all my toold and preplanned every thing down to the smallest of details

HOAs are worthless. I used to live in one previously. I never did anything to my truck until theres a guy that lived on my st who was running a repair shop out of his garage. The drive way & street were covered in oil. He never got in HOA trouble...

I am not aware of any larger midship tanks for an extended. Everything I see is CCLB or CCSB

Ya, I don't know about the extended cab, but if you just go to Titan tank and look at their webpage, you'll see what they have. Certainly have one that fits my 2014 Crew Cab Platinum F350.

i thought the extended cab all got the 36 gallon tank and the super csb like mine only had room for the 26. By the way I get around 13 MPG's combined mostly city / highway driving. I get 11 MPG's pulling my 32 foot 5th wheel with 3.31 rear gear

Just came back from a 480 mile round trip from Dallas to NE Oklahoma and we got 16.6MPG with the truck. Granted that was all highway and no trailer and cruise set on 75mph - still pretty good.
