No 12 VDC - Battery is fully charged

I own a 1990 Ford F350 7.5 V8
As you might know when ever you plan a day off...
Went to start truck and starter would not disengage..
Had to disconnect battery cable... Got to be at the golf course in 1 hour..
Had an extra solenoid so put it on.. nothing.. Looked a gauges nothing moving... windows won't work.. no radio... called golf course NO REFUND!

Does anyone know where the fuse for this would be? Under the dash it is just the small fuses for lights and stuff but no main fuse.. Need some help locating...

There is no central fuse. Check the connections to the battery and to ground. With the starter sticking you may have melted the ground wire somewhere along it's path from the negative terminal to the engine block.

I looked at the ground and I know it is good because I can jump the solenoid and it turns over and wants to run until I remove the jumper... then it stops like there is no power to the coil...
I wonder if there is a switch that when you turn the key on it makes connection to 12 v... I've never had this steering column apart for a look but my Chevy has this rod that pushes the switch to the on position... I think the problem lies there somewhere.. Does anyone know about how the key switch turns on the power..?

Silly question
Did you put all the wires back on the right terminals?
I have fixed many backyard repairs by putting the wires back on the terminal they belong on

Battery wire post has all the power wires
The other terminal is starter only

Hey Skuzzy...My wires only go on the starter side... They won't reach the bat side and they have a bend in them that point to the starter terminal.... What year do you have.. I'm curious now... LOL

I have a whole bunch of them
The newer ones (93 up) have the cable already set to where you can't make a mistake

Use a test light to test and see if the wires are hot

Not sure, but I'm thinking you solved your problem

switch the power wire, and the starter wire.

Truck won't run if it has no power to the fusable links.......

The wires you have under the starter cable are the fusable links

Did you try switching the pos battery cable with the starter cable?

The wires should all be hooked to the battery cable, NOT the starter cable

In my very first post, I mentioned that many trucks come into my shop like this.

^^^^what he said^^^^
all wires on the solenoid go to the battery wire connection EXCEPT for the one going to the starter, and the one with the push on connector.

NO. The wires all go with the positive post. PERIOD
The starter cable is BY ITSELF. PERIOD

I am done wasting my time with this thread.

UNHOOK THE THE CABLES AND HOOK THEM BACK UP CORRECTLY

UNTIL YOU DO, YOUR TRUCK WON'T START OR RUN
