Nope, i had power glass and heat before and that's what the new ones have, plug and play. You do need to verify what connector you have, the 8 pin is for just power glass and heat. If you have puddle lights then you need the 22 pin ones. easy to tell just pop one off.

So far sounds pretty good and ill probably get a pair. Are they all either 8 or 20 pin?
My truck is the 2017 model.
Oh wow! I only tow about 5 times a year on family vacations so those may be a better option.
Do you pull a travel trailer?
I had a similar set I used on my 2011 before finally opting for the tow mirrors. They actually worked well pulling my travel trailer. I bought the tow mirrors because I needed to be able to do some adjusting as I backed into my yard. Extended a bit farther and gave me better view of my 30 Ft TT.
How's the view w the passenger side one? I noticed one person commented the passenger mirror had an awkward view.
If I recall, the passenger mirror wasn’t convex so it had normal view. Probably why it might have been mentioned.
The mirror extensions worked great on my truck till I decided I wanted something more permanent.

If you are still interested in converting to tow mirrors for your F150, reply back with all of the features that your factory mirrors have such as power, heat, turn signals, power fold, puddle lights etc. and I can hook you up with a link to the correct set.
And get the Power Tow Mirrors that fold in and telescope out from inside the cab. PITA to get out all the time to manually swing them in and out when needed.
I have to do that with my standard mirrors every once in a while.
