Which Knock Sensor?

Howdy, due to a rat infestation eating vacuum hoses and wiring behind the intake manifold, I need to replace one of the knock sensors. I fixed the hoses and everything else I could see wrong but it keeps coming up with 2 codes - bank 1 knock sensor and bank 1 knock sensor wiring issue. So, Rockauto lists three different ones applicable to my '06 F150 FX4. Do I have a rectangular or square connector on my knock sensors? I'd like to order one before I tear into it.

Thanks,
Don

@Fordz-r-us I'm sorry you have had no reply from someone with direct experience on same model / engine. I replaced the IM on my 2004 5.4L, but not knock sensors. And my memory isn't good enough to remember those small details. The only picture I can find doesn't show the KS plugs ---.

SO: The best help I can be is recommending what I consider a VERY GOOD source for parts info and matching up. www.fordparts.com is a _very_ well designed site. You can register (with email address and password), and they have NEVER sent me any junk mail. Once registered, you input your vehicles and their serial numbers, then all parts categories are organized and searchable for THAT specific vehicle configuration. It's really slick - and so far for me very accurate.

BUT: Unfortunately - the OEM Part # 12A699 shown for my '04 (5.4L) and its specific VIN # might not be applicable on yours. Check that site out.

The connectors are at the back corners of the engine right about where the fuel rail has a 90 degree bend. You should be able to see them with a bright light before tearing into it.

Sensor 1 has wire colors DG/VT and YE/RD.
Sensor 2 has wire colors YEL and DG/WH.

Thanks guys! I appreciate the help. I got into it and found that neither of the bosch sensors I was asking about had the right connectors. Had to spend some extra money to get it right, but it was worth it because I don't want to ever do this a second time.

Hopefully the photo is clear enough to show where the rats chewed on it.

I'm also replacing all the fuel injectors since my truck is an early '06 model and still used the bad/sticking injectors from earlier models.

And, as mentioned by F150Torqued, part #12A699 is the correct knock sensor - it has a square connector, not a round one or rectangular one like the Bosch replacements.

They should get delivered this Friday and I'll be good again.

Just looks like just the wire was chewed to me. I probably would've repaired the wire instead of buying new if the sensors and connectors were untouched.
