My Hayne's manual says, "refer to the engine's VECI label for specific blah blah blah. There are no stickers, decals, or metal tags left in the engine compartment of this truck.

Specifically, I can't find the info for the following:

Fast idle rpm
curb idle rpm / or in drive rpm
initial timing

1974 f100
2wd
240 i6
air conditioning
power steering
3 speed automatic C6

Does anyone know how to get legit numbers on the above info? Is there a way to look up the VECI label online or something? I can't find anything.

I have an emissions book that says the 240 is at 6BTDC.


Curb idle seems to be good at 650-850, which ever you like.

The listed 6BTDC is based on a good running engine that has stock components.
